Women Veterans Basic Financial Needs Assistance Program - Eligibility and Requirements
ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for assistance, applicants:
1. Must be a woman Veteran
2. Must currently reside in one of the approved counties

An unmarried child (biological, legally adopted, or step child), either:

Under the age of 18

Between the ages of 18 and 23 and attending school

A child who was permanently and totally disabled before the age of 18

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Steps to submit a complete financial assistance application:

Create a profile with us (you only have to do this once)

Submit the Online Financial Assistance Application Form, which asks for:

Scanned copy of DD-214 Form, or equivalent proof of service
-
Scanned copies of overdue bills, mortgage, rent, and/or car insurance.
All bills must be under the woman Veteran applicant's name -- bills under a different person's name (i.e., spouse) do not apply for assistance.

(For rental assistance only) Scanned copy of W-9 Form of landlord

(For dependents) Scanned copy of each dependent's birth certificate / adoption certificate

Please Note: All document copies must be scanned and in PDF format.
Pictures of documents (i.e., pictures taken with a phone) will not be accepted, even if they are in PDF format.
