Santé Center Santé Center for Healing learned about Grace After Fire through National Marketing Coordinator, Dr. Sherry Young, Ph.D., who had been asked to serve on the Grace Advisory Board, contributing to the concept, building the site, and spreading the word. Santé leadership was intrigued with the project and gave permission not only for the involvement but for hours of work release time for daytime conference calls and writing and editing deadlines. As a small, privately owned treatment center, founded by brother and sister Rip and Deb Corley of Texas, that has been in business for 12 years, willingness to give and spirit of generosity is fundamental to the Santé business and treatment philosophy. The Guiding Principles at Santé summarize the fit with Grace After Fire and willingness to help women Veterans as the core of the Santé mission is service: - We believe recovery requires honesty, a strong spiritual connection, and thinking before you act. We challenge ourselves to model this daily.
- We believe families are a significant link to staying in recovery and must be included in a patient's everyday life.
- We believe taking personal responsibility for one's actions builds accountability and trust. We expect it of our clients and staff, and we demand it of ourselves.
- We believe health is represented by living life in a balanced way; to practice living a balanced life is a part of therapy, education, and day-to-day living at Santé.
- We believe goodness exists in everyone; by treating people with dignity and respect, their goodness often has an opportunity to grow.
- We believe that treatment works and people can get healthier.
