Default Vets die due to no healthcare...

Study: Over 2,200 US Veterans Died in 2008 Due to Lack of Health Insurance

On Veterans Day, a new study estimates four times as many US Army veterans died last year because they lacked health insurance than the total number of US soldiers who were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan in the same period. A research team at Harvard Medical School says 2,266 veterans under the age of sixty-five died in 2008 because they were uninsured. We speak to the report’s co-author, Dr. Steffie Woolhandler, professor of medicine at Harvard University and co-founder of Physicians for a National Health Program.

Default Vets die becasue of no health care

A female vet by the name of Bev Singer in the city of Las Vegas died while trying to get medical help. She was sent home with pian killers and no tests when she complained of Nausa and vomitting. What medical people didnt realize is that her kidenys were failing. That night she died. We the United Women Warriors fought long and hard for a hospital to get her an operation because she was being bounced from er to er. She got that operation in 2007 but we didnt realize that this happens to her every time she needs medical help. Now she is dead. I get upset when hospitals dont run any test to find out what the problem is. They just assume female vets are all crazy and dont know what they are talking about.Services for her will be on Tuesday at 11:00am at HElp Las Vegas. If any body wants more details on this call me at 702 401 4245.
