Post A Soldier Thank you

I came across a blog on my daughter's MySpace page and thought her words might lift other's spirits. She gave me permission to post them here on Grace and this is what she wrote:
...I went to get coffee at the drive-thru at Starbucks just like I aalways do, ordered my drink and pulled up to the window. At that moment I got the surprise that I had never expected. The girl asked if I was the one who ordered the "iced white chocolate mocha" and of course I said yes. She then told me that the guy behind me in line wanted to pay for my drink. I was shocked! At first I didn't know what to think. I was wondering if maybe he was just some weird guy who just happened to get a look at me and thought I was cute. I asked the girl if he was cute and she said, "Well he's kind of older" and then it hit me. This guy wasn't being an old pervert or anything, he was honoring my husband and me. I realized that at least once a day I get people who stare at my 4Runner because of the writing on it. It has my husband's name and unit info on it. On the side of my vehicle it says, "He's coming home! Hoorah! I realized that this man was taking the time to recognize either me or my husband and all I could do after I drove away is smile...Instead of wondering how many rude glares I'm going to get for my undying support for my husband, I now embrace the fact that there ARE people out there who support our troops and their families, in this town...

Default Support our troops

That was a good story. I support our troops in any way I can. I live in Oregon, with no major military bases in the state but our National Guard has been hit hard. It is important to remember that these people are there doing what they signed up for supporting our country, not always and easy thing to do. I have a friend that will be headng back to Iraq for his third tour. He has been hurt and had men from his unit lost so anything I can do to make it easier it is worth the price
