thank you very much for the article - it is amazing how our services have evolved - yet havent really! the stats are so telling.
it is very apparent that women's issues are becoming more apparent - unfortunately, there is a lot of catching up to do within the services and the veteran centers... often sad that the powers that be didnt realize this transformation long before.
while women have always been an important part of our services, it is as if eyes have opened and they now realize how women are a vital part of the military - especially during this time of war. sad that it seems it took the war to get there.
we can no longer be taken for granted as women have been in the past... and i hope this changes for the women that still serve and those that will continue to join.
I do my best to take every "Teaching Opportunity" and raise awareness about all service people experience, including this book display at the library, which includes books about women in the military. Slow progress is better than no progress!!!
