wrench wench

I served 1974-80 at Lackland, Chanute, Grand Forks, Mildenhall. I was the 3rd woman in Field Maintenance at GFAFB...the first to wrench on jet engines (afsc42652) and the first to work the flightline. Same at Mildenhall. I made E5...was proud of the work I did...and hated every bleeping moment due to a rape, constant sexual harrassment, threats, isolation and more. I had readjustment problems from day one when I got out. Also got a degree in anthropology (like someone else here). Diagnosed with PTSD in 1990 and have had ups and downs on that trail...currently in treatment with the local VA. Currently unemployed and unemployable and trying to file a claim with the VA to upgrade my disability rating (not for PTSD) to add PTSD.
